Classic Green Smoothie & My favorite reusable Silicone Straw

Classic Green Smoothie & My favorite reusable Silicone Straw

Hi Glowing Angels! I have been on a smoothie kick for years now, but the warmer weather makes me want them even more. When I was living in NYC, I developed a very expensive Juice Press habit. I’m talking $11 for a delicious green smoothie. Even though I still enjoy a Juice Press once in a while, smoothies are so easy to make at home. I am sharing my go-to three smoothie combos, but feel free to adapt and make them your own.

Smoothies retain their nutrition content for 24 hours, so if you want to make double batches… just save it in the fridge! Real talk, smoothies are probably my biggest source of fruits and veggies. It is a great way to sneak those nutrients in. Smoothies are also really easy to digest, so they are perfect in the mornings if you had a heavy dinner the night before.

Classic Green Smoothie

1 frozen banana

1 cup non-dairy milk (oat, almond, or coconut all work)

1 large handful of spinach

2 tablespoons almond butter (peanut butter is a great alternative)

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 pitted date

Place all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!

Blueberry Pancake Smoothie

1 frozen banana

1 cup non-dairy milk (oat, almond or coconut all work)

½ cup frozen blueberries

2 scoops vanilla protein powder (I use Nuzest, but use your favorite)

1 teaspoon ground flax

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Place all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!

Peanut Butter Cup Heaven

1 frozen banana

1 cup non-dairy milk (oat, almond or coconut all work)

2 tablespoons peanut butter

2 tablespoons cocoa powder or 2 scoops chocolate protein powder

1 pitted date

Place all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!

Feel free to add chia seeds, vanilla extract, unflavored collagen powder, plain yogurt, or honey to any of the recipes above. Try out different combos and see what makes you happy. Get creative and use what you have!

Pro Tip: I peel and freeze ripe bananas every week and keep them in a giant Ziploc bag in the freezer. If you need to use a banana straight from the store, just add a few ice cubes to your blender.

Comment below if you are on Team Smoothie. What is your favorite combo?

Stay Peachy. Xx.
