Ear Party
July 1 // à la Sarah Kurdt
Hey Party Girls!
So, I’m kind of a huge nerd. I love going to bed early, reading, and don’t have a single tattoo to my name. However, I like to think I can show my “cool girl” side with my 3 piercings in my left ear and my 2 piercings in my right ear.
What exactly is my “cool girl” side? I love music (and concerts) & can rock a jumpsuit and sneakers. My earrings provide me a platform to be a little bit edgy, yet remain feminine. I’ve had so much fun figuring out the right balance of jewelry to make the cutest combos.
I recently had my third hole pierced in NYC, and the process was actually really fun. I went on a whim during my lunch break, with the whole process taking about 30 minutes. After about 3 months, I’d say it is finally healed. To speed up the healing process, I used a saline cleaning spray after the shower and a flat-backed high quality earring. I’m already thinking of which ear piercing to get next. Suggestions welcome!
Read on for my visual earring party inspiration, as well as my favorite shops to buy earrings.
Ready to get the party started? Here are some of my favorite places to buy earrings online.
All jewelry is made on-site in their Brooklyn studio. A personal favorite shop of mine that will always be my #1. The quality is outstanding, and all of the pieces are so dainty!
Owned by Amazon, anything you order on here will arrive super fast. They carry a wide variety of high & low brands, so you can easily set your budget and find some really trendy pieces. Love their selection of “huggie” earrings lately.
Emily Schuman, the founder of lifestyle blog Cupcakes & Cashmere, launched a shop with all of her favorite clothing and jewelry. They carry a variety of earring brands (all pretty affordable!) and you’ll get 10% off your first order.
