As our third installment of July’s Insight on racism continues, we have carefully selected resources for you to listen to (these are for you, girls on the go!) Grab your headphones, take a listen, and let us know what you think.

Armchair Expert (podcast) - Jennifer Eberhardt, a social psychologist at Stanford University, shares her personal experiences with racism and her work in police reform. She also shares the psychological experiments she did on race and discrimination. Super insightful! (1 hr, 21 min)

Healthier Together (podcast) - Ivirlei Brookes, an actress and mentor for creatives, recently went viral for her video “White Women Who Truly Want To Help: Here’s How.” Listen to this podcast episode to hear how being in an inter-racial relationship had impacted her and advice on how to incorporate anti-racism into your business. (1 hr, 42 min)

The Joe Rogan Experience (podcast) - Daryl Davis is an R&B musician, activist, and author. His compelling episode dives into his personal experience with members of the KKK and showcases how compassion and authentic listening goes a long way toward guiding the conversation on ending racism. (2 hr, 48 min)

An American Marriage (audiobook) - This novel by Tayari Jones is a must-read. She tells the gripping story of the Atlanta-based black couple Roy & Celestial that are torn apart when Roy is wrongfully convicted of a rape crime. This book was selected for Oprah’s Book Club. (9 hours)

Expand your Spotify playlist. There are so many unbelievable black musicians. Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Aretha Franklin, Lizzo, Beyonce, Childish Gambino, and Prince are a few of my personal favorites.

Stay Informed & Stay Peachy. Xx.
