Warm Water with Lemon and Milk Thistle  Recipe

Alongside my morning coffee, I start my day with warm water with lemon and milk thistle. We all know lemon water is great for digestion, but adding milk thistle, which is a natural herb with anti-inflammatory properties, really gives your water an extra boost. 


One of the active ingredients in milk thistle is silymarin which is believed to have antioxidant properties. Antioxidants are beneficial because they help slow down and protect against molecules called free radicals, which may contribute to the aging process. Milk thistle is sold in multiple forms and is generally located in the vitamin section at the grocery store. I use it in liquid form, which makes it easy to measure and add to my water using a dropper.

1-2 full squeezes of the dropper of Milk Thistle 

As many slices of lemon as you please

Warm water
